If you are looking for a very special way to spoil your loved one on Valentine’s Day, or just want to escape the city for a country getaway, we have put together the ultimate romantic weekend for you. The weekend will be home to some of Britain’s most creative talents.
Arrive to a sumptuous champagne reception and dinner hosted by Chantal Coady, founder of Rococo Chocolates and one of the world’s finest chocolatiers, with wines to match each course and a tutored chocolate tasting before falling into a rose-petal covered bed.
Wake up on your second day to a romantic breakfast, followed by a morning of chocolate heaven. In this hands-on cookery class, Chantal will teach you to make her famous deceptively simple chocolate pudding, as well as bespoke delicious creations and truffles to take home, tailor-made to your taste. After lunch the afternoon will be spent with the divine Robbie Honey, London’s favourite florist. He will teach guests how to make beautiful floral displays and give tips on everything from floral scents to his favourite floral-based perfumes and oils, and expert advice on the best flowers for each season. Learn how to create bouquets and hand-tied bunches. Everyone will help to make the stunning table centrepiece for the romantic candle lit dinner that evening, with wines to match each course.
The following day will be spent preparing for the Valentine’s Feast in the evening. Giuseppi Silvestri will give an in-depth hands on class creating simple but delicious Italian dishes. Giuseppe’s love of all things Italian is infectious, with tips about aphrodisiacs in cooking and the foods which inspire love. He is a great entertainer and chef, and will impart his depth of knowledge and techniques, inspiring and giving the confidence to recreate the dishes at home.
The Valentine’s evening itself will be a feast of indulgence, a 4 course dinner with accompanying Italian wines. For anyone adventurous, we can also offer a champagne ballooning trip one evening: float away over the Cotswolds, glass in hand with your partner.
